Entrapment and Bed Safety

Entrapment risks are moving from the clinical setting to the home. Creating bed safety risks.

Removing "bed rail" from the name does not remove the risks. Unstable products create risks that can be prevented.

Arm - Head entrapment risk sliding off the bed. Under the mattress products firm up the edge of the bed that could promote injury (asphyxiation) for those who are fragile in any setting.

Not ergonomic, under mattress models alter sleep surface by increasing pressure points that could promote muscle stress.

Reaching for bed side table and rolls into rails. Instability causes more bruising or injuries. Can get entrapped between the rail and mattress. (shown above)
